Default short ram intake hydrolock?

I'm new to this whole s2000 thing. Just got mine last month. I'm just curious but can you get hydrolock on a short ram intake. It seems like all of the stuff I've read is on CAI in regards to hydrolock. And if anyone could suggest a cheap short ram intake I would appreciate it. Thanks

If you got hydro lock on a short ram intake, then you have a flood in your engine.

No, only on the intakes that extend the filter all the way down low into the front bumper area (unless of course you drive in a lake, but then you'll have more things to worry about).

The stock intake is a type of short ram. Why would you spend money on an aftermarket one that has no airbox and would suck in ALL the hot engine bay heat instead of just a little bit like the stock one does?

The PRM is kind of like a short ram, makes it sound nice, but I bet it performs worse.

Yes, or if you want to keep the stock "short ram", then look into getting a "snorkel".
