everytime i drive over a small hole or bump i feel it, with a loud *thump* sound. shocks my whole body.

does this mean that my shocks are worned out? or anyother suspension parts?

Along with the thump, their should also be a squeaky sound.

Well on my gf's car when she hit a bump there was a loud thump as well. When she got my springs the shock on the back that was doing that was blown. It never squeaked before all that FWIW.

if you pay attention and avoid pot holes, you wouldn't have this problem

no one here knows what is wrong.. go look at the shock.. see if you see excess oil on the exposed portion of the piston.
