Side Strakes Install

Default Side Strakes Install

hey i happened to pick up a set used for a good price, it came with everything but the install templetes. was wondering if anyone has a copy of it they can share with me, or tips to install it. thanks!

Just put something in the pushpin hole and something wet to mark the contact point. Install the strake pull it off and look where the mark is..

or dont bother drilling the side hole, just use a couple of self tapping screws underneath and round the rear wheel well.

You could also just use 3M automotive tape - they *probably* wont come off - that tape holds pretty good!

but i heard some of these people say these side skirts can take a beating. and they can and might fall off during strong rains.

yeah i heard similar stories too, but honestly, I ran those oem sides for almost a year and didnt get so much as a stone chip on them. I now have airwalkers sides, and they are secured by a couple of screws in the fender wells and 3M tape to the body. I have had NO issues with them coming loose.

I also have the side pieces of my mugen 3 piece wing attached using the 3M auto tape as there was no way I was going to drill my fenders - think of the forces exerted on that when driving, and hasnt moved at all.

Of course, this is just *my* personal experiences, but i think you will be fine.
