Default the single click from the rear

i had my car's alignment changed from US to UK spec, and shortly after that, i started to get a single click from the right rear axle when i would first back out of my parking space in the morning. now, it does it then, and also a couple times during my 15 mile drive, and only when i am giving it a bit of gas (i.e. if i slow for a red light, downshift to 2nd, and moderately punch it when the light turns green without slowing down).

is the alignment related to the clicking noise? it seems awfully coincidental. do alignment shops tinker with anything or do they just clip on the sensor equipment?

If it is the "classic" single click the s2k is known for...then the alignment is probably not the cause. The classic single click is from the axle nut not being torqued tightly enough.

If it is not the classic single click...then it may be that the alignment tech didn't tighten every thing back down.

I would get with some of the local owners who know the single click sound well and have them take a listen.

He shouldn't be getting the classic axle nut click on an 07 I wouldn't think.

it was supposedly "fixed," but at the core, it's still virtually the same car, so it's possible that it's that, right?

i don't have multiple clicks, clunks, or whining, so i don't think it's the diff.

I've seen the classic click on an MY06...so, no reason to think it won't happen on an 07.

I had a click sound when I made right hand turns after an alignment. The camber adjustment for the right rear tire wasn't re-torqued properly. I think it's supposed to be 100ft/lbs. I took it right back to the shop and a tech redid the whole alignment for me while the other one was on lunch break.
