At least in my situation, and I think many others, I am not butt buddies with the Dyno owner, and I haven't met much owners that will let you do a 1-2 hour install right there so I can do "back to back" dyno's. For random owners, your requirement for a back to back analysis to annoying. I stand by Singles because I have raced aftermarket duals before and have beaten them everytime with the owners being great drivers.

Yup, so as close as we can do is back to back with different cars.. same dyno, same conditions.. see the runs in the link in my above post.. where my car made more power than cars with the Amuse single, and the J' racing single. I hope you have your continued luck with your races.. IMO the whole single argument is feeble.

i don;t know anything about the differience between dual and single exhaust but if i had it my way, a dual exhaust makes the car appear more aggresive and why not make the s2000 aggresive. i mean why put a single exhaust on an aggresive car when Dual looks more bad azz, more aggresive, i also believe by adding a single exhaust to the S2000 would make it more in the category of a sh*ty civic. i believe that for the pure racer a dual exhaust can give u all u need plus the bad azz look.

CDelena, Maybe your car did make more horsepower than other singles, but what about kwando and his s2k (Sorry kwando). Are we to say that certian duals lose horsepower! I mean if his Nuespeed lost 18 rwhp, then in my opinion, duals are NOT the way to go! So, that is a clear example that your argument about your car making more HP is the same as others and I stating that duals other little if NO performance gains.

RSX- I don't know where to begin. "A pure racer is dual exhaust" Um, I think your thinking about domestics. Off the top of my head, there are only three japanese supercars with dual exhaust, every other one is single! Skyline, Supra, Silvia, etc.... And if you think that singles sound like a civic, your clearly wrong. I don't think you have listened to a sound file yet, but all the singles sound very F1 style. Everyone compliments them, but some think are a little too loud. I have nothing against dual exhaust, but I do have a problem with cars that are all show, no go! An aggressive car to me is a car that not only looks awesome, but moves too.

There is not a single fact you can determine about an exhaust system simply by its being either a single or dual outlet. To generalize based on this criteria alone is a worthless effort.

I think what Cdelena is getting at is that alot(not everyone)of single exhaust owners throw on the single because they think it will amount to greater power than the double.

In my case i wanted to balance looks and Performance(And I didnt want the ricey sound). A friend of mine has the J's Racing single and even when he rides in my car he says there is more power(BTW, I have the MUGEN exhaust). I am not one to feel much in mods, but the Mugen gives oomph and better throttle response IMO. Probably some torque too.

Mingster, like I said to start with.. your comments regarding duals is misleading and could be totally wrong.
Ummm... mingster's testing seemed about as controlled as it gets whereas your method (ie. my car dynoed more than the others although we all have a handful of different mods) leaves me less than confident that the gains can be attributed to your exhaust. I think I've seen enough dyno tests of the mugen exhaust over the years that I'm fairly confident it's not good for more than 2 hp and certainly not worth the money, at least to me.
