small end failure

Default small end failure

Has anyone suffered a small end failure on their S, or seen one?

If so, what caused it and did it get fixed under warranty?

Anybody got any views as to what would be the most likely cause of such a failure (would supercharging/turboing be likely to cause this)?

Is a small end failure something to do with the connecting rod/wristpin/piston?

Exactly that (we call the "wristpin" a "gudgeon pin" in the UK!)
