Soft brakes
I'll add that you may want to check that bolt 33, below is installed and properly torqued. It's axis is vertical as installed in the car, and it ties the upper part of the brake pedal into a cross member in the dash.
This bolt fell out in my car, early this past summer summer. I found it laying in the footwell, and I originally blew it off as someone must have dropped an extra bolt somewhere during the car's assembly. I autocrossed my car for the rest of the summer, with the brakes getting progressively mushier. I tried flushing with no results, and had also heard of another auto-x'er breaking their brake pedal assembly.
By fall my pedal height was extremely low, and I started poking around more thoroughly under the dash. I finally saw where the missing bolt goes. My pedal assembly was starting to yield without the support of this bolt. I pulled the assembly back to the nominal position (surprisingly easy to bend back), reinstalled the bolt, and everything has been fine since, with a nice, hard pedal.
