Default Soft Top

Hey everyone, I am in need of a soft top pretty badly. Mine is on the border of leaking at this point. I was thinking of going OEM, but the prices are a bit incredible.($1,700) Does anyone know where I can get a OEM soft top for a reasonable price or are they just at a premium now? If I do purchase an OEM soft top is there anything else in addition I need to purchase? (Rivets, straps etc?)

Thanks for the help, - Tom

Find someone who has installed a bunch of soft tops and pay him to do it for you. Robbins cloth seems to be popular.

Tom, I think you and I have already been exchanging emails as of this morning about this.

If you have any concern going with someone you don't know, here's an older thread of my installs.

You can't go wrong having @2poor2mod install your replacement roof. A day trip to New Jersey is all it takes. Coordinate with him and get a new Robbins cloth roof * sent to him so you're not lugging it around. He installed 3 or 4 for us one Saturday up in DC two years ago and I recall driving up with the roof down so the box fit would fit in the front seat. He routinely travels for group installs.

* Consensus is leaning strongly toward the Robbins Black Haartz Stayfast Cloth roof being the best replacement and nicer than the old OEM vinyl roof.

OEM is best, forget the rest. I went with the OEM blue top, it's cheaper than the black one and goes with my wheels.
