Default Soft top latch rattle (fix)

So I've noticed a slight rattling in my soft top latches at speed. Particularly in the passenger side one. I looked around for some fixes and found someone that mentioned putting fish tank tubing (or other clear tubing) on the latch to keep it from contacting the metal as it moves in the wind. Well this morning I decided to take a look at them before getting anything like this for it, and guess what... The screws that hold the latches on had almost FALLEN OUT!!? Sooo... Just a friendly reminder to check them now and again... Maybe you've got a couple of screws loose too! haha. Anyway, after tightening these (duh...) the latches no longer move or rattle at all. Go figure.

There's a Honda "work order" (whatever it's called) in the tech library that details how to cure the rattles. Wasn't a recall just something for dealers to fix the problem.

Oh, thats good to know. Do you know if it was related to the screws coming loose? I believe they are called technical service bulletins if I'm not mistaken. Aren't our cars old enough now that there is no longer any time of coverage on them? Or do these things have to be honored for a specific amount of time/til the end of time? I suppose I haven't found a section for TSB's, although I haven't exactly searched for them specifically.

Yep. TSB is what they're called. Honda ain't gonna fix our cars but the instruction are easy to follow at home.

That's what I figured. Any chance you have a link to the tsb? I'm assuming it's a pretty quick and easy process.

Can't blame you for not searching on this one, this one is tricky to find.

Thank you very much! Is there a TSB section by chance where all these are posted? That would be fantastic. If there isn't, there certainly show be
