Default soft-top latch trouble

Looks like I will have to do a little wrenching after work.

On the drive in this morning, the passenger side soft-top latch kept repeatedly popping open and unlatching as I drove. It feels like the lock portion is not engaging, since there is no resistance from the "button" on the side that you must (normally) press to release the latch. It doesn't "catch" when popped up into position like it used to.

If anyone can help me with this problem, I am eternally grateful (in advance).

happen to me, unlock it and behind that buttn there is a screw that holds it with a washer. You can tighten it and the buttn should be working as good as new.

Well after looking at the non-functional latch and comparing it to the functional one on the drivers side, I found the problem. The locking "tongue" which grabs onto a steel pin in order to hold and lock the latch closed, has broken in half. The piece is a small plastic protrusion from the spring slide mechanism, with a + shaped head on it. So far I have only found the entire latch assembly for sale at Majestic for $100.

Anyone have a lead on a cheap used one?
