Default Soft Top Patch

Where did you guys buy this?

I cannot find anyone locally who retails it and my Amazon search went bust.

I want to place some patch underside, where it wears, to keep my top sexy.

I just went and picked up some fabric at a local upholstery shop. That + Fabric cement should solve your problem.

I just got scraps the guy had for no charge. The best material other people have mentioned for matching the look/feel is Sunbrella.

If you can find an automotive upholstrey shop and ask for scrap pieces of convertible top material it is your best bet. I used automotive goop yes that is the name it has not lifted at all in over two years for the small wear spot I repaired.

Honda supplied me some patch kit - part number 86321-S2A-003, its the same material as the top, glued to the inside to keep any tears from happening.

Tear-aid type B works reasonably well. You might also look at Gorilla Tape.

Hello. First post here. Picked up a 2005 last summer wiht 24,000 miles. Anyway, After about two weeks on the driver's side I noticed it appeared to be wearing. Not through, but I could see what would happen. Went through the warranty things with Honda - no help. The dealer was great and tried to stand up for me, but Honda would not budge. Anyway, went to a local boat and canvas place who had done work on my past convertibles. They made a patch out of materials they ust to build Jeep convertible tops with - tough as nails. At first the headliner glue came unstuck a bit around the edge. I went to a local whitewater rafting shop and purchaed a product known as Aqua Seal. It's used to glue repair patches on whitewater rubber rafts. Perfect. It really stuck and the top looks great. I did both sides as a preventative item. Also, thanks to the forum for the TSB on this and I deburred the edges as per the bulletin and suggestions here. They were truly sharp just as so many others have commented on in other threads. Thanks.

Slide patch between rail and vinyl canvas apply layer of rubber cement to the surface of the patch and the top. Let dry then stick together. They will be inseparable
