Default Soft top question 2

Ok so my soft top fabric tucks under the weather strip at the bottom of the glass, when I raise the top. I noticed the clips on the tray are missing, will replacing the clips stop the top from tucking under the glass weather strip? Can I trim the weather strip? The top is starting to damage the weatherstrip, and don't want to further damage my 3 month old top.

I can't visualize this, perhaps someone can. Photo would help. What "clips" are you referring to? Anything missing is suspect. Who installed your roof?

The ones that fasten the tray towards the front of the car. It was done by a well known upholstery shop that's done hundreds of s2k tops.

I'd ask that well known upholstery shop that's done hundreds of s2k tops why there are missing pieces and why the roof doesn't work properly.

The clips were broken when they removed them, so I bought new ones to pop in there, will get around to it tomorrow. The top is installed correctly, no leaks, no abnormal stretching, or wear marks. That doesn't answer my questions though. Oh well.

having a hard time visualizing this. can you share a picture or 2 of the area you're concerned about. I may be able to help answer your question.

please also share some details about the top, what brand, what material, etc.
