Okay thank you, i am going to jack it up tomorrow and see where it goes. If i cant figure it out, i will take a video with sound and post on here. If that fails ill take it to the dealer.

Is there any visible damage?
Are you lowered?

The diff test is:
Put rear on jack stands
Put car in gear (don't start engine)
Turn one wheel clockwise - the other wheel should turn opposite
Perform test on both wheels
Listen for noise

 

Thank you; Yes car is real low. I didn't see any damage, but i didnt get completly under the car. (only had 1 jack) I'm going to do that today.

 

Almost sounds like you twisted an axle or something... either that or spring isn't perched correctly.

I don't recommend putting a car on jack stands and running the car while in gear... Let a mechanic with a lift do that. Too many bad bad things could happen with that scenario. And I'm not just talking about what could happen to your car.

The diff test Spitfire recommended is usually effective. While your down there check and see if your CV boots (big rubber things) look twisted or askew.

I'm really betting on broken axle or twisted axle since your lowered.

Either way I'd stop driving the car. If your diff is busted and you keep running it, you can actually blow a hole right the casing.

Please let the records show that this is not "my" diff test.
It is described in the S2000 service manual.
All I did was pass it along hoping it may help someone out.

edit: did you use the spacers to put the CV back into its original position after lowering? If not.. then the CV may have just "given up" on you.
Check the prop shaft too, where it connects to the diff.
That point is lower then the CV's IIRC.

If you damaged your axles or diff that support brace must have taken a hit too.
Or something (rock?) flew through it..

I have JIC Coilovers, I didn't do anything special with the Cv joints when i lowered it. Its probably droped about 1.5-2inches. Its been this low for 2 years. I'll take plenty of pictures from under the car, hopefully i can figure it out. If not, ill tow it to a dealer in the next few days.

 

Well I had a vibration under load only. It shaked my s2k to shit. I searched this site and found a TSB for Rear CV axle cups-inner. I took it to honda repaced both cups and 1000.00 later. drives like new.

 

There you go, I corrected it for accuracey just for you.

Video of Car

I recorded this video. I put the top down so it would sound a little louder, but it isnt great. I couldnt see anything visibly broken under the car... Any idea what this noise would be coming from? My freind forgot his jack, so i couldnt get both wheels off the ground. If i have time, im going to tow it to the shop tomorrow.
