Spare on rear for 200 miles, how to verify diff condition?
Hey All,
I learned that you're not suppose to put the spare on the rear after I made a 200 miles trip home that way. How do I know if the diff needs repair? It doesn't make noise. When the spare was on I drove gently at constant speed. I assume I should look for debris in the fluid. Any other way to tell it's condition without taking it apart?
Thanks In Advance,

When you change the dif fluid you will always have metal shavings. Same thing with transmission fluid. If you're not hearing anything you should be good though. If you notice any ticking sounds or anything like that though expect there to be a problem. I'd say you're fine tho
