Spark Plug TSB - What a hassle....
I know exactly what you mean. I just had my car done on Wed, and what do I see as soon as I pop the hood, one of the Allen screws that hold the plug cover on is missing. I know it isn't much, it's just the point of the matter. So I go in the house and call them and they check with the grease monkey that did it. The guy calls me back and says exactly what I was looking for, "It was missing when it come in," so im like yea whatever, and he says they will mail me another screw, like I asked. Overall, all ended well considering. (If I ever see that screw.)
Well, the good news is that I picked up the plugs Friday. It was still a hassle, as I did end up paying for them but will be reimbursed from AHM. I installed them yesterday, and all of the old plugs looked good when I took them out, and all were tight.
Now, once I get my check from AHM, I will be a happy camper...

I did torque the new plugs to 18 lb-ft. I did notice something interesting - in the service manual for my wifes Accord, it states to torque the plugs to 13 lb-ft also. Hmmm....... [/B][/QUOTE]
18 is for the stainless steel sealing ring....12-13 is for the aluminum. The TSB modification switches the S2000 sealing ring over to stainless.

I bought my car from Fowler Honda in Norman OK, When I got my letter from Honda I called JR in the service dept there and asked if there was any way I could get the plugs and do it myself. All I had to do was send the old ones and I had the new plugs-about three days total. The S2000 is not my daily driver. Don't know anything about the service dept at Fowler, but JR is super to work with. He owns an S2000 himself.
Oh, one other thing to add... I think that the dealer is not supposed to give you (or sell you, for chrissake) the kit. They're supposed to do the damn work.
I did first ask my dealer to give me the plugs, and they said no.
Find a good dealer, and get it done, folks. I shudder at some of these stories!

I have decided that I am luckier than I had previously realized. My Honda dealer [Hilton Head Island Honda] is pretty small, and sells only a handful of S2000's per year. Nevertheless, I checked in with them the first week in August, and they had four sets in stock, and reserved one for me. I made an appointment to get them changed there just a very few days later. Spent less than an hour in their waiting room, drinking their free coffee and fighting the urge to inhale a couple of their free donuts. The car was ready with no fuss.
For me, TSB still stands for Technical Service Bulletin. Regrettably, for some of my S2ki friends, it stands for Tough Sh#t, Buddy.
