I'm also getting that click as well. How effective is torquing the spindle nut down in terms of eliminating that clicking? Is it a temp fix? Perm fix?

Is that even in fact the problem causing the clicking noise?

You want to use a new nut. Torqued to the service bulletin's torque with grease applied to the back of the nut. This eliminates the clicking and should be a permanent fix. Has been for me so far.

mine went away for good when i replaced the hub/wheel bearing.

i had the click, re-torqued the axle nut and the noise went away for about 6 months.
it eventually came back, and then i started getting a rotational metallic sqeak/groan.

new hub/bearing and we're back to normal.
