What makes you think Honda dealerships have any experience with differentials? Unless a shop has lots of RWD differential repair experience (Honda doesn't), I wouldn't let them touch it.

What "Honda diff fluid" did they use? The only Honda diff fluid I'm aware of isn't even close to the correct specs for even a stock S2000 diff.

well i have no clue what diff fluid they used just told it was the honda diff fluid.
as for what the difference was with the clutch type diff as aposed to the other,I don't know to much about the technical terms but what i have noticed is that the power is planted more firmly on both wheels and the new 456 final gear makes the honda come to life on the bottom end. One of the down falls with this final gear is that it makes my revs alot higher so when you are trying to cruise it is alot more annoying when going through down town. (mind you i have a vortec super charger, a dc header ,no cat and a invidia exaust). since i did the rear end work it grabs like a mother now.
All in all i am very pleased with the rear since i changed to the kaas fluid with the additive it has quieted down alot from the start of the breakin proceedure till the end of it I could gradually hear the noises get less and less. It is still noisy but i can live with a little noise, can't wait till i get it broken in totally so i can really let it go and feel the full boost again.
I love my charger............

the lsd will never slip with the clutch type...the oem lsd still puts more power out to the wheel with the least amount of friction...the clutch type will lay down the power evenly to both wheels at all times which is partly the reason why it is so noisy. The oem lsd allows the outside wheel to travel slightly faster around slow turns which keeps it quiet. If you listen carefully or have a friend behind you, he should be able to notice that your tires skip or chirp when going around slow turns at partial throttle.

so what is adventage of this clutch type LSDs over stock Torsen LSD??

I thought Torsen LSD has many adventage over clutch type... such as faster torque transfer, quiter operation, more durable..
I think it improves your ability to turn by allow ing you to power out of the apex sooner and faster, I'm not sure if there is any advantage as you decelerate and enter the corner but I'd like to know.

how come your rear is loose? I have cusco 2 way, my car understeers a lot in corner, ur LSD is supposed to sound like that, however, I am not sure about the grinding sound. You might want to use ATS oil, makes it less noisy/

as soon as i switched to kaaz 80 w 90 fluid and put the amsoil slip lock additive in it it quieted down alot and the rear felt more stable, i think the reason it felt loose is cause the whole rear just felt totally different, cause it is feeling a little better now
so i did the break in figure 8's and have put about 80 kms on the highway now.
i am still scared to really let it go with full boost, how long do i have to wait until i can really get on the throtal again with out screwing up the diff again.
the last thing i need is to break another tooth on my final gear.
i would really like to drive it like i own it again.....
ha ha !!!

viper11blue, dou you had installed also the differential mounting set in the same time with the LSD ?

Like this: http://www.inlinefour.com/spoons2difmo.html

Do you think this set necessary when putting a differente LSD or the stock one is enough to support the extra Spoon LSD load ?

Thanks in advance,

Regards

I used the stock one and my rear is holding up fine so far. id say that if you are not running a supercharger or turbo it should be a safe bet you donot need it.
I went a whole summer with my charger doing burnouts and lots of track time before i blew out my stock one, actually i was pretty impressed how much the stock rear end took before it went..
i have no clue weather you really do need it to support the new lsd but looking at the price i kind of wish i would of did it now just to be safe, for the little extra it would of costed.
If you are doing a lsd swap put a different final gear in it, it is worth it.
i put 456 gears in it and it gave me tons of extra torque. i pick up way quicker now
If you want to know for shure P.M xviper he will tell you for sure if you do...
but mine is holding up fine ...
best regards....
