Default Spoon radiator hoses. Worth it?

Do you thik they're really worth it ($300-ish)? Spoon claims a 30% cooler reduction over stock one's. Or is it just a matter of sporting blue Spoon radiator hoses (imprinted with Spoon in white)?

JDM bling IMO. don't really think you'll need the extra "cooling" effects unless you race consistantly and competitively. you can find cheaper HOses elsewhere.

How could a hose improve cooling? It is an insulator!

Also, doesn't the thermostat restrict coolant flow until a certain temperature is attained?

Thermostats restrict coolant flow all the time, but they actually cut it off below a certain temperature.

The only way you'll see cooling in a hose is if it's made of some sort of decent thermal conductor, like copper.

The spoon radiator hose would be a nice engine dress up, but for $300 i don't think it's worth it. Hey, isn't the Authentic Mugen Valve cover for h22, b18c5 etc... $800 dollars!?
