Spun Bearings?
FP here.
I have been thinking about doing a s2000 powered seven but I have read in a couple of spots that motor suffers from main bearing failures.
Any truth to this matter or other stuff that I should look out for?

If you want to do an S2000 powered 7 definitely check out the Ultralight!

Since they are made close to us I have come to know the guy who owns the place and have just come back from Road Atlanta with him and a couple of cars.
I towed one there for him where GRM was doing a comparo of the 7s out there and this one was hands down the winner. It is the only one big enough for 2 people. It was the most balanced car. It was also the biggest. The motorcyle engined model was actually a small amount faster in the very tight autocross course they had, but the Ultralight was much faster on the track and street. Plus more civilized and quiet. The GRM guys couldn't keep from grinning when they ran it.
I didn't get to run it at track speeds, but during parade laps we would fall back and "test" certain sections. At one point I took the Turn 5 corner as fast as the Panoz school cars. The only difference is I was in the wet, I had 1/4 throttle left and I took the Sunday drive line with no muss, fuss, bother or squealing tires whereas the Panoz car was in the dry, on the race line, drifting to the apex with lots of noise. I had my elbow out of the car.
Tell Brian that David b. sent you. I won't get anything but brownie points, but maybe he'll remember that when I get my money saved to buy one.
I am looking to see if there is a way to fit an S2000 instrument cluster in there.
It has the coolest front light assemblies you've ever seen
