Squeeky grinding Noise from right rear
I'm getting a really high pitched squeaky, grinding noise from the right rear side. It's not constant, and happens with each rotation of the wheel.
I have OEM brake pads that were checked less than a year ago, and they were still good. The axle nut is at 220. I have stock shocks with espelir springs that were installed about a year ago.
Could it be the wheel bearing, and is it okay to drive it about 10 miles to my mechanic? I'm stuck at work for the time being.
Update: So I changed the right rear bearing about a month ago. All was good up until today. The freakin noise is back! Any other suggestions? TIA

i had the same thing. mine would only do it after a freeway run so it would be hot enough to. i checked by pulling slightly on the e-brake while it was making the noise, and it didn't change. I then found it mostly did it at 18 mph. I took it to the dealer and it was my left rear wheel bearings. looked like they had NEVER had grease. cost about 500 to fix it. you could hear it come from that corner, and it bugged the shit out of me. let us know.

i don't exactly have the press required to press the old bearings off and the new ones on. Nor do i have a compressor to use my tools that i have for work. so sometimes it is just easier to pay up than break your shit and waste your time and then find out that you still can't fix it because you don't have the proper equipement. think about other peoples situations before you spout please. not everyone has the resources you do. phrase it more like this, "get it diagnosed, and if you feel you can handle it, and have the equipement required to do so, then go for it."

DON'T PAY $500 for someone else to fix it please
Get it diagnosed and fix it yourself.
