Thumbs up SRS light is on :(((

Hi ,
My SRS light is on.
When I drove my car to the dealer service, they said to me that, I have to change my belt, because, the sensor is cracked.
What can I do for this, without changing the belt

because the belt is working. only the sensor is cracked

thx.

Isn't your '06 under warranty? If so then, who cares? Have them replace whatever parts are damaged on their dime.

You don't sound like you understand what's going on and I'd be willing to bet the dealer gave you a dumbed down explanation of what is wrong with your car. Chances are they need to replace the belt in order to get to a sensor, or maybe the cracked sensor damaged a belt, who knows... In any case, I'm still confused why you're worried about this when your car is under warranty?

If the belt tensioner deployed from being in a collision it's not under warranty.
