has anyone had this problem and what did you do to fix it? the srs light wont go away. tried already resetting the computer by disconnecting the battery several times. also checked the seat belt connection, and took the steerring wheel off and checked connection of the air bag. what could it be help?!!!!!!!

 

I'd suggest that you take it to the dealer and have them diagnose it. You don't want to acidentally trigger an airbag whilst looking for the problem - it's expensive, not to mention that you could get hurt.

I'm sure you know this, but whilst the light is on your airbags will not deploy should you have an accident.

 

If you don't know why the light came on in the first place, absolutely take it in to the dealer.

If you know that you disconnected an SRS component (sensors, airbag or belt pretensioner), the light can only be reset with a jumper applied to a connector under the dash in a specific sequence. I can't remember the sequence off the top of my head, but do a search and it should come up.
