Default SRS unit removal

Hi. I've recently bought my S2000. Was an accident damaged one. The airbags have deployed. I have new airbags, seatbelts and the unit from a pre fcaelift S2000. How do I go about removing the old SRS unit under the radio? Also can I still use the steering wheel on my facelift model and just use the prefacelift airbag with it? I was told I can't but it was from an unreliable source. Any help will be very appreciated

It's all described very well in the Service Manual. You can buy a US one from http://www.helminc.com/ Not sure if you are in the US, though.

It's been a while since I did this, but I remember I had to buy a set of bits for "tamper-resistant" screws.

You take the radio out, then unbolt the SRS unit. IIRC they are T25 torx bolts.
