I too have the starter grind.

Bill was at my place this past weekend, he's heard it, it's not the TCT. Starter over-run is pretty common on these cars.

Well, I'm glad someone revived this thread. I'm having the same starter overrun right now. So replace the starter or the button?

Mine only ever did it when the starter/car was very cold. If I was guessing, I'd say it was like the grease in the drive of the starter bendix/solenoid had gone thick from the cold and slowing the disengagement.
Warm it never has happened.
