Hello fellow S2Klovers,

The last few mornings i went to start my S and the starter grinds when i hit the button. Ive noticed this seems to happen when the car is cold. The car starts up fine its just the starter acts as if i kept my finger on the button too long. Bad starter OR normal for the AP1?

 

Normal for honda, pull starter and re grease it.

 

yeah mine has been doing this too since i got it, but only when its cold....oh well.

 

There is a big thread on this somewhere.......you either deal with it or grease the starter gear,....I deal with it with cuz the starter is hard to get to.
