Angry Steering feels very Loose

I've owned my s2k for about 2 years now and this is something that has been going on for about 4-5 months now. The steering feels loose and floaty almost like I'm driving an SUV. if I hold the wheel straight it will eventually drift and I have to constantly re adjust. I had an alignment shop tell me when I first got the car that my caster was off and some of those components need replaced but most recently (about 5 months ago) when I was at a tire shop getting a new set of tires plus alignment they told me there was nothing wrong. I even went back to the shop after getting the alignment and had them re check because the steering was so bad but he thought it drove fine. Idk I guess maybe they don't know how an s2k is supposed to drive but if feels awful compared to when I first got it.

Psi is even in all tires

Do you know if the steering rack was ever removed? It could be torque sensor related. If that's the case then disconnect the torque sensor harness on the steering shaft itself in the engine bay and see how the wheel feels. If it feels stiff (like EPS disappeared) then you know it's not a physical rack issue, tie rod end, etc. In that case it may be the torque sensor.

What model year? Equal psi means what psi? What size and brand tires? On all roads?

BTW: Not even my Ford Expedition -- a real SUV -- drives this way.

I'm not sure if the rack was ever removed but I do plan on cleaning that sensor and yesterday I just tested the outer tie rods and they were bad. I'm hoping replacing them fixes the issue

That may very well be the issue. Hope it is. Let us know how it goes.

Your caster bushings could be seized and not causing it to be able to be adjusted. Most tire and alignment shops don't even adjust that as many cars don't have them.

What I'm guessing is the rack bushings have probably worn out. I replaced a friend's 2 weeks ago since his car felt a lot mushier than mine after years of autocross.
