Same problem I had at the dealership, its nice that its right in front but to much stuff is it the way to really get a good measurement. The distance from the tw knuckles has to be 34.5 inches. We measured from frame rail to frame rail as it looked as if the knuckles were right below them and it was close but I need to be sure before we go buy one and start getting it in.

emailed a few ebay listing guys. does 34.5 inches between the joints in the boots seem too big?

Buy a rack. Sell it if it does not meet your needs.

it would be easier and a lot less time consuming if somebody has a rack laying around, which i know somebody does. enough rack swaps happen that there got to be a rack, or even an opened up front end on somebodies car to just take a measurement for me. trust me, if the car thats being made uses the rack, you wont be disappointed.

I have swapped a few racks. But we toss them when we are done.
