Hello guys! After I read all about this mod,the only thing that I must be sure, and I'm expecting from all your knowledge,a simple answer. It is totally safe for the engine? Water,debris,etc...
Thanks guys!
And happy new year,by the way!

What mod?

Any mod you do to the stock air box is useless anyway

I've run it both ways on my car as it came with a gutted box, and I am back to the factory un-gutted setup now. Can't say either setup is any better or worse performance wise, so yeah it would be pretty useless to do it IMO. There might be a slight change in sound but it isn't a better sound.

What I am really liking though is my J's Racing Kevlar snorkel extension for the stock box that goes down to the front bumper, it may not be a big power adder but it seems to provide a more consistent power level throughout the driving day with less of a difference beteween early morning driving and hot afternoon driving. Feels quite nice so far.

It doesn't do anything. I did it at least hoping for a little extra sound. Got nothing.

I drilled out the wall between the main box and the resonator box (thus making the open space larger) hoping it would get a bit louder. People tell me it is but

But tell me,it is safe for the engine? There is any risk of getting water in the engine on a day of rain or debrys? I have a spoon snorkel and a spoon air filter.
