Does any1 know if the stock shifter is hallow inside or is it just a sleeve. planning to cut it shorter.

 

I do know that when you are dealing with a part that can damage your transmission if improperly modified, it's worth the cash to buy an aftermarket shortshifter that has been engineered for your car.

 

It is hollow. I did this mod. I cut the bottom of the shift knob off 3/4. Then I drill down 1/2 inch to make it countersunk. It didn't feel right and it looks funny. I went ahead an got a voodoo shift knob.

BTW, if you are going to do the mod. Drill down and tap it first before you cut the bottom out.
