Default Stop windows from going down automatically

I've done some google searches because I swear there was something about being able to stop the windows automatically going down when the top goes down.
Does anyone know how to do this, is it as simple as cutting a wire or two like the top down/up while in motion trick?
If it's possible, let me know please.
Thank you.

I would imagine if you did that they wouldnt automatically go down when you tried to put the top back up which would create issues. I always figured they just go down to get out of the way of the top.

If they didn't require it, they wouldn't have bothered. I'm sure there is a very VALID reason they need to be dropped.

They need to go down so that upon closing of the top the windows can seat properly in the seal

Thank you guys for letting me know, didn't think about that, very narrow minded unfortunately. Was asking because I bought a door with no guts and had it painted and planned to swap all the guts from my door over, but haven't gotten the chance to, just bolted up the window, door handle (not even the locks) and the speaker and plugged in the harness. The window isn't completely installed so it isn't able to go up or down. I just figured it easier to stop the windows from going down so that I don't have to put my driver's side up every time I go top down. I miss having the windows down, a lot more air.
