Default Stripped axels?

Recently I had a problem with my rear-end. It turned out that the splindles in the inner part of the axels got stripped. I've heard of guys snapping there axels before, but was curious as to how common my problem is among people who have damaged their axels. I have never heard of this type of damage happening to an axel before.

Sounds like too much horsepower for the axles.

Wow, those are pretty good sized splines and they're relatively long too!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wouldn't think those could even be close to your weakest link in the drive train, something other than "excess" power must be the cause for that type of failure

Was there any damage to the LSD assembly since the splines sit in this?

RT: Did you ever send your axles to Driveshaftshop to have them inspected and what was the outcome?

I had The Drive Shaft Shop make me some custom inner CV joints by sending them the old ones and having them graft on their monster this or that spider assembly. However, no feedback yet since I planned to install them when my seconds stock set wore out ........... they have recently, and I have the dreaded vibration, but I haven't installed the "new" parts yet (lazy a$$ style)
