Default Stripped FRONT wheel stud

I'm in the process of trying to help a friend replace his front stripped wheel stud. It seems to be stuck and we see a nut in the back. Do we just take that off? HEre are some pics... thanks in advance

Got a long way to go...

you have to take the knuckle apart. The hub has to come off for you to replace a wheel stud.
