Default Stripped knock sensor

Did a tranny n clutch job, I broke the knock sensor, ordered an aftermarket sensor (should of got oem), the threading on the new sensor was a thought fit, after a few miles of driving, got a cel for knock sensor, went to inspect, it was loose, tried tighten it or loosen, no luck it just spins, seems like no threads are catching either way, there is a lil play with the sensor that I believe is throwing the cel code, I duck taped it to keep it still, that lasted about a day or so before the cel came back on, the heat from the motor made the tape not tight anymore, is there a way I can make the sensor stay in place or a way I can remove the sensor, any inf will help, thank you

Have it welded?
Easy fix might not be the best one though.

Broke the sensor, now have the bolt stuck flush with the block, had to get a small dremel to make a hole so I could get the bolt extractor to catch grip, what pita!!! Lesson learn getting a oem sensor, the aftermarket one was made with poor quality,

Your not on your own, I did exactly the same last week. Cheap knock sensors not worth it!
