Stripped Threads

I stripped the threads on the actual SHAFT, NOT the nut. I am talking about item #3 in the picture above. Any ideas on what i can do?

you might be able to rethread it using a die to rethread it....

If you can't use a die to retread it you'll probably ha e to replace it

how bad?

try to trace it back with a die, if you are getting any play then it's time for replacement

that sucker doesn't need much torque to fasten, i really wonder how you manage to bang it up?

i have that and i hate it.

1) it doesn't work well on anything worse then what you see in that vid.
2) you can't use it in tight spaces or in areas with limited space ( wheel stud)
