Sorry the search function is not working so I'll post this question. Will the Vortech supercharger kit for the 00-2003 years working on the 2004. I know that engine compression is slightly higher. But is the hardware and fuel components still the same.

I have to make a decision as to get the 2004 and supercharged or a used 2001 that is already supercharged.

If it were me, I'd get the 01. I'd figure the 01 is good for slightly more boost, and it will have a much broader torque curve. Plus, if you got the 04, the warranty you're paying for is pretty much trashed.

The hardware is the same I believe. I'd guess the differences are in some of the electronic interfacing. Comptech has a separate kit for the 04 so there ARE some differences.

 

I'm not sure if they have changed the pulley sizes on the 04+ model, or if they retained the same size as the 03 kit.

 

I have a Comptech for My 2004 and the kit is different. The updated kits make the same amount of boost as the old car with more power throughout the powerband. One owner on this board made 310 RWHP with his 2004 with a Comptech kit w/ stock exhuast and a stock header. The super charger pulley is smaller, the FPR setting is different and the horn bracket is different because the 04 has a different horn. I am guessing that Vortech made the same changes to their kit. The electronics are the same.
