DARK SIDE racing huh, nice
How would I go about getting the pipe made? Does anyone sell the pieces or do I have to have someone custom bend them? Can Darkside do that?

Custom, find a local shop. The guy I'm going to use gave me a list of which pre-bent pieces to buy. For example, you may need to order four 90 degree bends and two 45 degree bends, etc. Just find a local shop that can do the plumbing, they'll need your car and the intercooler to do so. This is the place that my guy recommended I buy through http://www.burnsstainless.com/ .

So all I will need to do is order the nessasary bends and just have them cut and put together (welded? or rubber sleeve?)
Any chance you might post or e-mail a picture of your setup to help me with the design
Thanks for your help wes

I haven't had mine done yet (car has been in the shop for the last 3 months), but here's what I understand. My mechanic was going to use a dryer hose-type material with hangers to form the design / bend of the pieces. Then he'll take the bends to a place that can custom bend and cut them. then he brings them back, fits them up, and possibly takes them back for more changes. Then he puts everuthing together, I'm assuming with the rubber sleeves. 1RandyC has a setup, I've based much of my infromation off of talking to him.

Wes, I pm'ed Randy to see if he could give me some more guidance......Which model and size intercooler did you go with? They only had specific applications listed. Does it look as though it is going to fit alright?

Also, Randy and Wes......what would be your recommendation for the best pipe diameter??? 2.5" or 3"?

It's a custom job. 20 x 10 x 3

Randy used 3" piping but felt that the 3" caused him to lose more boost and that 2.5" would be better.

Are there any advantages (cost/performance) between an air to air intercooler and a liquid to air intercooler? It seems that a custom liquid to air would be easier to design and would take up less space.

Is there a particular brand of belt to look for? If I walk into an auto parts store and ask for a 39" belt with a 6 micro-groove belt, will they know what i'm talking about?
thanks
