Suspension problem resolved
Some of you might have seen a thread I made within the last week talking about some problems I've been having with my new suspension. For those that don't know, I had some Ground Control coilovers and Koni Yellows installed and after picking up the car I noticed some squeaking and CLANKING! I took it to an alignment shop and they thought that the suspension may have been installed incorrectly. They aligned the car and of course the issues were still there. The car was scary to drive on the freeway--going around right-hand bends the car would start ping ponging around. No joke. My wife was driving behind me on the freeway and couldn't believe how bad it was.
Anyways, this past Saturday I went to Spugen to have them install my new Buddy Club seats and to look at the suspension. The first thing they did was put the car on the lift and you won't believe this: the two big bolts that hold the crossframe to the car were loose.
They weren't just loose though--the one on the driver's side was hanging on a thread and the one on the passenger's side was half way out. Duc said I was lucky that the crossframe and associated parts didn't fall off because I could have gotten into an accident.
After properly torquing the bolts, they inspected the coilover/shock setup to make sure nothing else was wrong. Low and behold there was another issue.
There is a metal "collar" that goes on the Koni Yellows (towards the bottom; I believe it helps support the spring) that wasn't even installed on any one of the shocks!
So, my S is currently at Spugen and Duc is going to remove all the coilovers/shocks and reinstall them. Also, it turns out the ride height wasn't even set properly--I asked that it be lowered 1.5" all around and it was something like 2"+.
Thankfully nothing serious went wrong with my car. Unfortunately I have to pay a second time to have the suspension installed, as well as a new alignment. Sucks to be me.

Refresh my memory....where did you have the initial work done.... ??
Why weren't you able to see problem on your own before taking it to Ducs?

I didn't bother to look under the car myself to troubleshoot the problem.
