most syn oils and synblend oils are more than good enough for our cars. but since i'm a overkill kinda guy, I use amsoil atm 10w-30. at about 7-8$ a QT. redline is also good syn oil. mobil 1 is easy to find, and is very good oil for the price. go for it

i once went 2 years without an oilchange in my 92 civic hatch (155k miles) with mobil1 full synthetic. after i finally changed it i felt a noticeable increase in acceleration.
changed the oil in it last night for the first time since april. car runs perfect.

I felt my car to have a little more power, and the peace of mind that I'm using the best motor oil I can get. it last longer between changes, flows better when cold.
I should think that a 9k rpm, 240hp two liter engine needs the best oil available IMHO. have you read the oil journals? theres much info on this subject. read and decide for yourself, if its worth it.
