Tachometer installation

I need to locate the wire to ECU that senses the RPMs as I am installing a tachometer in my s2000.

is the tach you bought good for a dis system? I put a tach on my 2001 tacoma and it was dis and it was one of the wires of one of the coils. sorry not much help

im installing a Defi tach with shift light.... i like looking at analog tachs better than digital

What am I missing here? Your car has one of the best Tachs made and you want to change?? Is this just for bling bling?

I guess im just old school.. digital tachs just dont do it for me.. i like looking at needle sweeping through the RPM instead of LED lights... its just me

There is a Tach test terminal on the left inner fender, in front of the brake master cylinder. It's in a 2 pin connector shell, with 1 wire in it. I've used it for a RPM signal for a Autometer shift light.
