Default Taillight assemblies:

I'm looking to replace my '03's now smashed right taillight assembly with an '01's right taillight assembly. But the potential seller has told me that although said assembly is otherwise flawless, it contains some amount of moister inside of the sealed assembly. So I'm wondering whether or not it is advisable or even possible to disassemble it; dry it out, and then reassemble?
Thanks in advance.

Peace.
Guy

Just so you know those are different tail lights. It doesn't come with the crome ring.

i think you could dry it out with a hair dryer. if the condensation comes back over time then i would think the factory seal is broken.

So in other words the '03's taillight assembly is different from that of the '01's taillight assemply, yes?
Thank you, paco23.

Peace.

Minor to some, but an eyesore to others.

you definitely don't want to run an 01 taillight. The lack of chrome rings will be pretty obvious.

I'll order a new one tomorrow ($252.95, which isn't all that bad). Thanks, vtec9.

Peace.
