Default Taillight Fitment Off?

My passenger side taillight seems to fit off on the outside - there's a noticeable body gap between the quarter panel and the taillight.

Car has no accidents and when I took apart the trunk paneling and looking at suspension components there is no evidence of a repair. The rest of the body all lines up (trunk, bumper, door, etc)

Anyone have a similar experience? I just kinda chocked it up to a slight factor defect of sorts. The little nipple on the taillight fits into that hole on the quarter panel. But there's a sliver where it doesn't line up.

I'm trying to find a picture of it to better illustrate.

The area highlighted in green is where there is the slight gap. Every other part of the taillight lines up though.

Most definitely will in the morning - I don't think a flash will expose it too well.

I think I'm overreacting but I just noticed it when I was washing the car.
