Default Is this TCT noise?

Hey guys just slowly picking away at normal upkeep on my 167000km s2000. Just trying to get thoughts on this noise and if it's normal valves or TCT. I'm leaning towards TCT .

Vehicle has full service history at dealer up till around 130,000 then just normal services from there. Noting in the paperwork I have on valves being done. Oil is right in the middle of dip stick markings as well is fresh.

Video of said noise after start up sitting for few mins
Any feed back would be great!

OE TCT fails sooner or later, some as early as 50,000 miles and you're way beyond that mileage. I changed mine out for Billman's TCT at 40,000 miles as preventive maintenance (but your Australia location probably precludes this).

We don't know what model year your car is but a valve adjustment is good maintenance for any year car and vital for the 2006+ cars with the DBW throttle as these run lean and tight exhaust valve are common in these engines.

Car is a 2000. Ap1 sorry!

I can hear a light (very light?) Ticking when cruising next to a car or stopped driving next to barricades are these engines just noisy?

Do you hear anything abnormal

Other than noise to check for this would it be safe to assume I could just remove the valve cover and take a peak inside? I just replaced my VC Gasket due to oil leaking, would I need to replace it after pulling the cover or could I still reuse it?

Can re-use no problem.

Valve clearance adjustment is always beneficial.
