Ok thanks, so when I go to the hardware store or somewhere that has bolts what kind of bolt do I ask for? Because all the hardware stores around here measure their bolts by the head not the thread diameter. Can I just ask for a .80 pitch by 50 mm bolt? I'm sorry for being ignorant, if anything I'll just get a good assortment of .80 pitch x 50 mm length bolt they have in stock and hope one of those works. Or should I just get an M5 .80 x 40mm? Those they have. Again sorry for being ignorant, and thanks for the help.

Osh might have them. They have a good selection. Try machine shops/supplies.
