TCT power loss?
Reading stuff like this drives me nuts. I understand lots of us are brand junkies and support those who have supported us.
I'm pretty sure InlinePRO started the modified TCT gig. All of which get the job done. I may not be considered your S2ki "S2000 Specialist" however, I do wrench on quite a few S2000's in my local city (Houston)
I've dealt with many S2000 owners who all have OEM Honda, Billman, Ballade, and InlinePRO TCT's.
I know both InlinePRO and Billman are LIFETIME WARRANTY
I am not sure if Ballade is or not, I will find out and update.

Ballade has had issues with sourcing inferior pins in their TCT in past and members have had issues with those. I don't know about Inline pro's record on TCT off the top of my head, but I always found it strange to go with theirs over Billmans, unless maybe someone is already having a motor built by them etc. When it comes to dealing with OEM s2000 issues, there is no one more knowledgeable then Billman, along with his rather flawless reputation brings a lot of people peace of mind. I cant say the same for many corporate venders here.
Toda Racing also makes a TCT.
Ballade Sport's TCT comes with a lifetime warranty too: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/s2000-mo...ioner-1079847/
Of the 5 options to choose from, I went with the silver Ballade Sports TCT.

Drives you nuts? Well I m not typically a cheerleader for anyone unless its really deserved. Ive been around on this forum for the better part of a decade and an S2000 owner for more, which does allow me some perspective to draw from.

Billman is the guy that actually addressed the problem with the TCT first and therefore executed the proper working remedy. Everyone else played catch up, if they even got it right. Knowing what Billmans track record over the years, I have more confidence in his stuff, PERIOD. Better?

it's been posted that InlinePro didn't even use hardened steel pins in their TCTs at one point...
I seemed to recall that being Ballad, but maybe it was Inline Pro as well. Either way, it makes no sense to gamble on someone else's, when we know who's TCT is the only sure deal!
Billman's is the easy choice, by far.
If I went to that other shop for a TCT, I'm sure they'd try talking me into buying something else I don't need at all (like the last time I was there) - rebuild my entire head, new valves, correction gear, etc., etc. :/

Eh, I have went through two billman TCT's.. both failed pretty quickly. Customer service was great though! Each time he sent me out a new one the next day. Decided to try Ballade, and have had their TCT for a little over a year now with no problems.

"Akkmednoseflem, please state which versions of my tensioners "failed" on you.
Your chain guide depth is bordering unacceptable geometry, I have the depth on file. You are listed as standard GenX. If you had noise, you were off application.
The GenX TCT did not fail. It is running out of range in your engine due to the extended chain guide operating depth.
You likey had:
Gen3
GenX
