Default TCT question

This is probably a dumb question but when you take out the TCT, do you have to pre-load it to put it back in? Reason I ask is because my buddy's s2k is leaking oil from that area and we wanted to replace the o-rings on the TCT. Thanks

Any timing chain tensioner on any engine is installed in the retracted position.

Okay thanks, for future reference you have to have retract the TCT or else you will break the timing chain.
Thanks to Billman and slows2k.
