Default Temperature Gauge Question

Being a new owner of a 2003 S2000, I have a simple question. Is it normal for a cold engine (in garage for a couple of days--outside temperature in the 50's) to show one bar on the temperature gauge when the car is first started; radiator and coolant tank filled correctly. Normal running temperature is three bars. If not normal, any suggestions why? Thanks--Great Web site.

Yeah it is normal. Most the time I start my car there will only be one bar and it might take 5-10 minutes for three bars.
