The test pipe makes some power up top, and noise too. It's also a few pounds lighter than a cat.

You *may* lose some bottom end though.

I have one, and it gave me about 4-5 HP at the top. Now as for the sound difference...... OMG. I have not heard a louder S than mine. I am running spugen duals, test pipe, and 4IG intake in the car. BUT I have a white car, and you will get residue on the car, and it will be noticeable on anything less than black

It bolts where the cat goes, but it is just a straight thru pipe, mine has a threaded hole for the o2 sensor on it.

I have a Comptech S/C with the spoon test pipe. I've just recently re-installed the cat to go through DEQ, and immediately I noticed a lose in power. A lot quieter though..

With mine, I noticed that before I put in the test pipe, the noise level was loud up until VTEC, then it would quite down actually. Then with the test pipe, it just got louder and louder after VTEC.
