Here they put a sensor in the pipe. I had to switch out the pipe with the cat for inspection.

ok, I have the o2 sensor fix and I live in NY so as long as I don't get e CEL it will pass inspection? Isn't there a decibal noise test also?

if you're not throwing a CEL you'll pass that part of the inspection... If the inspector looks under your car I doubt you'll pass

How much hp does the test pipe gain w/ everything else being stock. Also...does it make the car a lot louder? I drive a lot of highway so I do not want a loud droning exhaust. Just looking for a few extra ponies. My only other mod is an K&N FIPK just installed last night. Very easy install by the way.

Thanks for the help in advance!

As far as HP gains, its debatable. Some say you will pick up a few HP, some say its barely measurable. Don't expect a huge HP gain, but you might grab 1-5 HP, but thats really within the margin of error on a dyno. With the stock exhaust you probably won't hear much louder of a sound as you still have the resonator down the line. It may go up a bit in sound and change the tone, but nothing dramatic.

Thanks for the heads up- I appreciate it!

I would love to hear any feed back from anybody that has changed out the cat for a test pipe on a stock exhaust.

Feedback on
-Gains
-Sound
-Any drone on the highway?
-Worth it?

Obviously this is avery cheap mod and I am not expecting miracles here.
