Default Test Pipe Install

Im thinking nows a good time to throw my inividia test pipe on since its nicer out. I have a few questions.

1. My brother who knows a little about cars says that jacking the s2000 and keeping it up at the jack points is bad on the chassis. I was gonna just jack up the rear at both the rear points. Can you confirm this cause I think its bs.

2. Did you have to use a breaker bar to get the bolts off?

3. Will an electric 240lb torque impact wrench work or will I need to buy a better pneumatic one(I've got a compressor)?

Thanks, I've been itching to get this done.

Breaker bar + wrenches = done.

I don't see how you're going to lift the rear points and get to the test pipe.

You should be able to lift it by the tranny no problem.
If you want to lift it from the back so much, you can lift it on the diff.

You probably don't even have to "lift" the car..
Just get some ramps and drive up. It'll give you plenty clearance to swap out for the test pipe!

I can't even count the number of times I've jacked up my car. This isn't a 1970 Chevelle with a chassis as soft as a noodle. This chassis is quite rigid (especially for a convertible) and there's nothing wrong with jacking it up for a few minutes to work on it.

Thanks for the reply!!

I don't have any ramps and don't know anyone with them. Im on kinda a tight budget at the moment so I've got to work with what I have.

I have no clue how to lift from the tranny or differential. Would this be in the service manual on how to do this cause I've got it?

Na.. just slide your car on some 2x4 and stick your jack underneath the tranny and lift it up.
Then support the car with stands.

When you're lowering the car, don't forget to stack some 2x4 so you don't get stuck in the middle of lowering the car back down.

Stick a jack under the diff, jack the car up using the diff. then place 2 jack stands under the car. side rear where rear tires go, youll know what i mean, a few bolts and your done. A elec impact will do fine or a long breaker bar

enjoy and hope for no cel

After thinking about, I have some spare wood. I think I'll just go ahead and make some ramps out of it. Whats the best height to make them to be able to do exhaust work and oil changes and such.
