Default Think I bent a Valve :(

Not sure if thast what it is, its in the shop getting looked at. I will find out tomorrow....but f20, in 5th, had to downshift and accelerate to avoid an accident but ended up going from 5th to 2nd instead of 5th to 4th...(was shifting with left hand while on phone...yes retarded but had to think fast).....

Any idea how much it would run me to fix or whats wrong with it? I am thinking bent valve and hopefully nothing broke off and hit a cylinder wall. Any help would be appreciated.

Honda recommends shift from fifth to sixth at 56 mph or around 4k rpm. Second gear can handle that. If u were driving more than 56 mph in 5th then that's more aggressive than normal for cuirsing.

At the very least mph u could be in to shift to second and still be saved by the rev limiter would be 65 mph. So basically u were doing about 70ish in fifth!? Sorry to be off topic but what the hell were you doing at 70 mph in fifth? Race track? Or just on public streets? From the sound of it, u probably were on public streets. -_^

Oh btw, that phone call must have been important bc I would just said F it and drop the phone.

Ouch, sounds like you will most likely be needing a new engine.. How fast were you going exactly when this happened?
